WAMS Mediator Certification: 1986
Accomplishments: Mr. Goldman has served as a mediator or arbitrator in almost 4,000 cases since 1986, involving many different areas of law and millions of dollars in damages. He has been successful as a mediator in resolving cases as diverse as personal injury, medical malpractice and professional negligence, real estate, employment, contracts, business and other matters.
As an arbitrator, Mr. Goldman serves as a solo arbitrator and as the swing arbitrator on three member UM/UIM arbitrator panels. In addition to his service through WAMS, he has served as a Judge Pro Tem for the King County, Washington Superior Court and as an arbitrator for the King County Superior Court Mandatory Arbitration Program.
Mr. Goldman began practicing law in 1977 and has represented both plaintiffs and defendants. Prior to becoming a full-time mediator and arbitrator, his practice focused on torts, real estate and commercial litigation. He is admitted to practice in the states of Washington and Oklahoma and before the United States Supreme Court, the Ninth and Tenth Circuit Courts of Appeal and the Federal District Courts for Western Washington and Oklahoma. Prior to starting his Seattle law practice in 1982, Mr. Goldman was the City Attorney for Muskogee, Oklahoma and a private attorney in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Mr. Goldman is a popular speaker at seminars sponsored by various organizations in Washington.
