WAMS Mediator Certification: 1998
Accomplishments: Scott Holte practiced as a
civil trial lawyer with the Anderson Hunter law firm in Everett for 25
years, representing plaintiffs and defendants in personal injury,
commercial, real property, and probate litigation. He has served as
mediator or arbitrator in more
than 1,200 cases and serves as a CR 39.1 mediator for federal court.
Mr. Holte’s mediation and arbitration experience
includes simple to complex tort claims, including malpractice claims,
insurance coverage and bad faith, commercial disputes, real property,
including boundary line disputes, and will contests. He serves as a
sole and swing arbitrator in commercial, personal injury and UM/UIM
disputes.
Mr. Holte has authored a chapter in the WSBA Auto
Accident Desk Book, and several articles in conjunction with seminar
presentations for local bar associations, the WSBA, and the U.W. School
of Law. He has received extensive mediator training, beginning in the
1980s with the Settlement Now program and has served as a seminar
speaker on a number of ADR topics. He was admitted to the Washington
Bar in 1974 and is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for
the Western District of Washington and the Ninth Circuit Court of
Appeals.
