WAMS Mediator Certification: 2006
Accomplishments: Cynthia Morgan has spent
her career practicing law in Washington State. She was selected as a
Rising Star and Local Super Lawyer by Washington Law & Politics
Magazine in 2002 and 2004. From 1996 until 2003, she practiced with the
Messina Bulzomi firm in Tacoma. Her emphasis was on complex personal
injury and wrongful death claims. Specific types of cases she has
handled include auto collisions, medical malpractice, worksite injury,
product liability, and employment issues.
From 2003 until 2009, Cynthia was in private
practice
in Seattle and Issaquah and focused on mediation,
arbitration, insurance subrogation and personal injury litigation. She
briefly practiced insurance defense with Scheer & Zehnder in
Seattle in 2009. She
has been certified as a Rule 39.1 mediator in U.S. Federal District
Court and has been appointed to the WSBA Mediation Panel, and is on the
MAR Panel in King, Pierce, and Snohomish Counties. She currently works
as an Administrative Law Judge for the Seattle Office of Administrative
Hearings and as an Exparte Commissioner Pro Tem for the King County
Superior Court.
Cynthia has authored numerous publications and
spoken at CLE seminars in the areas of automobile accident litigation
and insurance, medical malpractice issues, mediation and settlement
strategies, including Chapter 9: Evaluation and Settlement of the
Washington Motor Vehicle Accident Litigation Deskbook.
