Scheduling Arbitration

Review the WAMS Rules of Arbitration to determine the necessary steps to initiate and schedule arbitration.

1. Contact WAMS by email at wams@usamwa.com or by telephone, fax, or regular mail. You will be asked to provide information about the case and participants. If the arbitration is not submitted by mutual agreement, a copy of the Notice of Intent to Arbitrate (Demand for Arbitration) and underlying arbitration clause must be provided.

2. After receiving the case information, WAMS will contact the parties and confirm the basis on which the case can proceed.

3. WAMS will prepare a Strike List for arbitrator selection, schedule the hearing and provide the venue. WAMS administers arbitration proceedings in accordance with the agreement of the parties or applicable contract requirements.

4. The applicable filing fee is required at the time of case submission and scheduling.

"Discourage litigation. Persuade your neighbors to compromise whenever you can. As a peacemaker, the lawyer has superior opportunity of being a good man. There will still be business enough."
